Listenpony

Listenpony's eleventh event returns to the beautiful Crypt-on-the-Green in Clerkenwell, hosting guest artists Eo Nomine and Mainly Two. 

Eo Nomine will give premieres of works by Ryan Latimer, William Marsey and Josephine Stephenson, alongside a selection of 16th century vocal pieces. 

Mainly Two, a violin duo of top young violinists John Garner and Marie Schreer who perform together throughout europe, will give premieres of works by Lawrence Dunn, Dani Howard and Freya Waley-Cohen.

ListenPony will also be celebrating the launch of their record label. More details to come...

Combining evocative pieces from the 16th century and familiar festive carols, Eo Nomine present a programme swathed in the scent of Christmas. Cinnamon, allspice, frankincense, and perfumes from the East join motets rejoicing in the birth of the newborn babe.

Come & Sing, Sounds Sublime Festival

IN ASSOCIATION WITH GENESIS SIXTEEN

A unique opportunity to join The Sixteen's Associate Conductor Eamonn Dougan and Eo Nomine in a singing workshop focussing on Italian & English madrigals from the 16th Century.

The workshop runs between 3 - 5pm and is followed by a free hour-long performance of Eo Nomine's 'Ponte dei Sospiri' programme, featuring works by  Monteverdi, Schütz, Gesualdo and Tomkins.

The workshop will focus on the following madrigals:

Monteverdi  - Sfogava con le stelle
Tomkins - O Let Me Live

Participants should have some experience of singing in a choir before and be able to hold their own line. Music will be sent out a few weeks in advance.
